RATS and MOLD....Disgusting......

I am utterly disgusted at what I saw at Checker-Carnival mall.

At the end of September, My family and I were shopping at checker carnival mall and whilst in the cheese section a RAT ran across mine and my husband feet. I had logged a complaint and was called by a lady apologizing and assuring me that they do realize that there is a problem and they are working on resolving the problem.

I trusted that the problem had been resolved and returned to do my month end shopping on Monday, 23 October 2017. I approached the cheese isle with caution because of my previous experience. On my attempt to pick up a block of cheese, luckily I had not yet touched it. I noticed that there was an entire chunk bitten of the block(it was obviously and very visible that it was rat bites). I promptly took my family away from the section. Utterly disgusted at what I just saw.

I thought about walking straight out of the shop but it was already late and I need to purchase my groceries . I quickly looked through my trolley to check if there was anything out of the ordinary (Like traces of rat droppings, etc). I then continued to the pasta section where my 12 year old shook her head in disgust. There was a pack of Gnocchi pasta that was covered in green mold, imagine how sick this could make a person. Lastly, I bought a bottle of Mageu and upon unpacking it at home noticed that the expire date was 3 days after I purchased- way too soon-.

I am disgusted and cannot trust Checkers. I would expect that for such a large franchise, customers should be able to shop at ease knowing that what we purchase is of good quality. However, my experience has been completely bizarre. This is unacceptable and I will never ever shop at "Checkers" again. Worst experience I have ever had.
