R46,99 plastic packet

I just returned from Checkers Hyper Sun Valley Mall Noordhoek, where I was charged R46.99 for a plastic packet! I looked over my slip on my way out and saw “Pie Choc SBerry” at mentioned price. When I went back to the cashier she looked at it and told me it was for the packet.

Supervisor was called at customer care and she told me she is sorry about that, please fill out your details for a refund. She then proceeded to scan a checkers packet before telling the cashier to give my money. I had to ask for my slip as she did not return it and she also did not cross out the item when you get a refund.

Now, how many customers paid R46.99 for a plastic packet today, as they were clearly aware of what I was talking about when I went back. Is this a new way of raking in money or was it an honest mistake? People, please look at your till slip and make sure you got what you paid for!
