Pork Chops

On Thursday the 15th February 2018, my partner and I went to Checkers - Allensnek Value Centre situated on Cnr Jim Fouche & Hendrick Potgieter in Rooderpoort to buy a few essentials.

Amongst those items we purchased a pack of Pork chops, but unfortunately we were disappointed when we found that although the sell by date was the 19th February 2018 the chops were no longer in a good condition, even tasted bitter and stale.

The following day we had to return them of course, we were then directed to the Kiosk where we found two ladies. When we started that, and queried why they even keep such food which was clearly not in a good condition to be consumed in any case she was uninterested and simply giggled and said she was going to ask her colleagues who work at the Butchery.

What was even more disturbing was their conversation while we were filing in the return slip between her and her colleague who literally uttered "What is it with people returning stale goods today!"

Whilst filing in the return slip, she simply refunded us and walked away without even a mere apology let alone a valid answer when we asked about the condition of the items we purchased.

I would like to express my disappointment n it only for the lack of courtesy and care seemingly towards our health as consumers who rely on these Supermarkets to purchase all our essentials but also at the poor quality of service received when returning especially since it was something that is consumed which could have led to other conditions and issues such as food poisoning.
