Poor Service and ****py Manager's Attitude

On Friday 29 October 2021, I was busy doing as per usual month end shopping at Sunvalley Checkers Hyper and was actually disgusted at the service levels at this store. Although I had a Pamphlet with the deals, I noticed that certain of the specials were not advertised on the shelves. When queried, I was referred to the manager as the merchandiser had previously brought it to their attention but was not attended to.

As I paid for my groceries, I made it clear to the cashier that I want to withdraw cash at the till, which saves me time, money and effort, the cashier just said that she don't have cash. No attempt to try and resolve this matter was even made, as according to them, there no cash in the tills, bearing in mind that this is the second time in the same week that it has happened. Nowhere did they even enquired as to how much cash I wanted to withdraw. I then proceeded to speak to the branch manager. It was clear that he was the least interested in my complaint, as he was making continuous excuses for the issues at hand, but has never attempted to address the matter. I returned about 2 mins later as I had forgotten something, I noticed that a gentleman was drawing cash at the till next to me. Now I am sure that Checkers Hyper don't have magicians working for them but cash miraculously appeared in the tills. I proceeded to lodge a formal complain using the online platform but is still yet to receive a call from the so - called call centre as it was stated in the reply that someone will contact me within 48 hours. So this is the issues at hand 1. Your branch manager's attitude in addressing the matter. 2. Why advertise and offer cash back services if you cannot honour them, leaving the customer to walk to an ATM, at the risk of being ****** and be charged for it. 3. The lack of communication from the complaints department. 4. Poor planning and managing of cash on hand situations.

Hopefully this matter will get the necessary attention that it deserves.
