Poor Security System

I hereby share my disappointment in Checkers Raslouw Supermarket's poor security system. I went in the shop on the 19th of April 2024 around 17:15 PM. While doing my shopping I lost my cellphone. I reported the matter to the store manager that tried to retrieve camera footage after some persuasion from me, this is footage that would show how I could have lost my phone. To my shock, there are certain sections of the shop that do have security cameras therefore unable to show my whole shopping experience.

This was a huge surprise & disappointment to me that such a big franchise can have such poor security system. The same bad experience happened to my wife about 4 years ago from the same Checkers store. I had to request assistance of a security footage from the security personnel responsible for the whole shopping center. The footage showed me & my wife walking inside the store with my phone showing from my trouser pocket, which proves that the phone was with me when I entered the store. One Checkers employee whispered to me that such cases have been reported on numerous occasions in the past, excluding my wife's incident.

After all this, Checkers store did NOT improve their security system. We are exposed to all sort of ******** activity while we are shopping there. The store's safety is as good as lack of safety one is exposed to in a taxi rank.

This is shocking & unacceptable!!!!! The general public must be warned about lack safety & security while shopping at Checkers Raslouw Store.
