Poor purchasing systems
Good day<br> <br> It is about time Shoprite Checkers becomes innovative in their range they carry. We have 7 dogs and 3 cats and keep seeing the same old boring brands on the shelf. When I visited PNP with a friend last weekend I was surprised to see new innovative brands on their shelf. I tried a brand called Dr Hahnz dog food and cat food and was amazed to see how my lovely pets just went crazy for them. Dr Hahnz cans even had a pull ring lid which NONE of the Checkers brands have. Why will Checkers not carry this range I fail to understand however I will now be switching to Pick N Pay for all my grocery shopping as they seem to offer more to their shoppers!! Disappointed Checkers!!!!

Prior to listing, research is done in terms of demand and whether there will be an adequate supply line from the manufacturer as well as cost is also taken consideration. The category buyer had reviewed this information and listed various products in the Dr Hahnz range. However, the products have showed a slow rate of sale in the Gauteng Division and therefore, a decision has yet to be made as to whether more stock of the brand will be ordered.
