Poor, poor customer service

Purchased a box of cherries at the Rondebosch store, open the box only to find most of the cherries rotten and moldy. Reported to customer care with photos and copy of receipt [ Ticket: *** ]. Was informed that Checkers cannot issue a voucher to the value of R249.00 and they would contact the store. No feedback I logged a second ticket, was asked if the store contacted me - no they have not. Was then informed that I should return to the store for an exchange? I no longer want the cherries, bought fresh at PnP. I must drive all the way to the store (high fuel costs) and pay for parking for an item exchange of fresh produce that I threw in the trash? No contact details for the store manager or any particular person in the store that I should speak to for the exchange?
