Poor level of management at Checkers Centurion mall

<p>So Yesterday I went to Checkers Centurion Mall to do my shopping and in the process, some guy and his girlfriend decided to ***** from me. The guy decided to pickpocket me and take my phone, luckily I felt it and immediately stopped to look and put my hand in my pocket and realized that my phone was gone, and just as I stopped... luckily the guy panicked and my phone fell from his arms through the magazine he hid it in and fell to his feet straight to the ground.</p> <p>I immediately reacted and started exchanging words with him which led to other shoppers and the managers coming to check what was happening. to my surprise, the manager didn't even want to involve security and let the guy go after having a conversation with him and not even caring about what had happened to us as customers in his store.</p> <p>All he could say to me was " at least you have your phone back"..... <br />really??????????</p> <p>Now my question is: If this same guy was caught *****ing Checkers goods and was caught before he could leave the store, would he have let him go as well saying that "at least they have their goods back"? or would he have involved the police/security as they always do when they catch someone *****ing?<br /> is it okay if their customers valuables are ****** in their store while it's a crime for one to ***** their own goods?</p> <p>The worst thing is that he could even make a comment saying " It's between the two of them" . How is it between me and the ***** that I just caught *****ing my phone? why didn't he want to involve security? or is that Checkers customers don't matter at all?</p> <p>His attitude towards the whole incident was really surprising, especially for a manager. Are we now not safe anymore shopping at checkers because the managers don't care and cant even do what's right to protect their customers? I mean this manager refused to call security and said at least I got my phone back and that it's between the two of us...... then let the ***** go.</p> <p>Checkers must please make me understand what is supposed to happen now, do we change shops because checkers managers are ******** and irresponsible or do we carry on shopping at checkers knowing that if anything happens to us in their store we will be told that it's okay and that we can deal with it??????</p>
