Poor Customer Service & Theft

Order *** Delivery Date & Time: 26 April 2022, 15:35 Your driver: Oreste

When the driver arrived, he parked down the road which was perfectly fine as the road was busy due to school coming out. First time I called to find out where he was he told me “opposite the school gate” and hung up. There are 3 school gates so called him back to find out what type/color his car was to try and locate him.

When I found the driver, I opened his car door I put my phone down on his back seat and took 2 bags out his car and told him I’ll be right back as I wanted to drop them off inside the apartment complex gate before I return for the remaining bags. After dropping off the bags I made my way back to his car and in the distance, I noticed 2 men attempting to walk off with my remaining groceries. I yelled at them and ran over. They were apologetic and claimed they assumed they could take it because it was left next to a dirt bid on the side of the road. Rather than wait for me to return the driver removed my remaining groceries from his back seat and placed them on the side of the road next to the trash and drover off with my phone still on his back seat.

Noticing he drove with my phone sent multiple emails on the to have the driver sent back ASAP as I did not have a landline phone to contact them directly. The next morning there was still no response on my email so I made my way to the Checkers in Constantia. I explained the situation to Mrs. Pedro who was extremely helpful even though this Checkers did not deal with Sixty60. She was able to connect me with Ebrahim in the back-office team and I explained the situation. After providing the order details he told me he was follow up with the drivers company that does the delivery to advised the driver to return my phone. (never heard from Ebrahim again).

When I got home I checked my email and saw a response from Samantha from the Sixty60 team say she would send it to the support team to escalate to the driver partner to have my phone returned. I follow up via email every day to understand how things are progressing. Fast forward 3 days I get a response from Samantha on the 30th of April stating they are still investigating. Fast forward 5 days and multiple emails later I buy a cheap phone and sim card to call Sixty60 directly. I get through to Cleo who was very helpful and told me she would follow up with the Fulfilment Team for an update. I receive an update, from Shakilah, roughly 1 hour later claiming the driver checked his car on the same day I sent the first email and could not find my cellphone.

1st the fact that he left my groceries on the side of the road next to the trash for people to claim, 2nd the fact that it took more than a week to get any sort of feedback and 3rd the fact that this driver can straight up lie after the theft of my phone is completely mind-blowing and big FU straight to my face. Disgusted.
