Poor customer service
I have 2 complaints,. The 1st is about the deli staff. I visited the branch this morning after 8am and stood in the line to buy food from the deli, a lady cut the line in front of me and was served. When it was my turn the same staff member said she could not serve me because the line started at the other end. This was not told to the customer in front of me. Do the staff choose who to be "difficult" with because I find this very poor customer service. We should treat all customers fairly. Staff behave like they are doing us a favor. It is there job and they earn a salary for it. We as customers support the business that enables them to have a job. Secondly. I forgot my Xtra save card at home, when I got to the till point and mentioned this the cashier said they can't help and they don't have an Xtra save card. I find this bad service because there should be a way to find the clients details in the system by asking for your cell number or ID number. This means that as a loyal client I cannot the benefits without my card. To the business it is a loss because if an alternative is available I will purchase those items from the store. I had to leave the items back ans purchase it at another store. To me I wonder if Checkers does not need the business or the support of its clients. I understand it is the festive season and the staff are working on hours and the stores are extremely busy however it still does not justify poor customer service. I work in customer services as well so I understand very well what it is like but would never treat my customers inthjs way and will always look for a way to assist. I think staff need to be trained on customer service and how to treat customers fairly.
