Phone ****** in store and nobody knew the protocol to follow

Checkers I am left completely heart sore after my phone was ****** at the Checkers Waterfall store today. I had my phone in my jacket pocket and it was taken while I was shopping in the store. I reported it to the cashier and she did not know what to do in this instance. She called the manager who said she would review the tapes. She came back to me 15-20 minutes later saying they "couldn't see anyone taking it" so there is nothing more they could do. I asked her what the protocol was when there is a theft that happens in store and both managers that were there did not know. That is completely unacceptable! I shop at that store all the time with an expectation of me and my belongings being safe. Security WAS NOT NOTIFIED! Surely this is something that they should have done immediately. I expect a response on this matter.
