Personal Injury due to negligence

Fell in the store after slipping on wet floor on afternoon of black Friday 2017. Was assured by staff who assisted me that Checkers would re-imburse me for my medical expenses. I submitted proof of said expenses and to date have had no feedback whatsoever. I am thoroughly disgusted as it ruined Christmas and has set me back financially for the new year. The manager tells me he has done all he can. I tried posting on their facebook page and also called their customer care line to absolutely no avail. Have been in store and photographed the area where I fell and the floor is still wet due to some leakage from a refrigerator. In fact a rag is regularly shoved against the said refrigerator to soak up the wetness. I have no clue what to do further.
