Paying wih an ABSA cheque card with chip

I was trying to buy cigarettes from the counter with my card when the chip didnt work they told me they cant swipe due to rules and regulations ... So i called the manager who told me rudely that it wont go far so i can try take it up further , he gladly gave me his name and i then called the admin manager called Thoko ... Who didnt want to give me her name , this isnt the first problem with the chip unit of my card and my bank told me that if it happens again i should tell them to swipe and it will work ... I asked them pollitely to do that , they refused and got very rude with me ... I have been so dissappointed with their service that allthough spar is more expensive i will gladly be moving over as checkers customer service is up to **** !!!! This is not the first time both those managers have been rude but it is certainly the last that i will take there low comments towards me and treat me like i dont belong in this shop
