Pathetic service Checkers Hyper 14th ave

<p>I went to Checkers hyper this morning to purchase some items for my new pet, when I got to te till the Dog basket scanned at R100 more than the listed price and the feeding bowl did not have a barcode on it. I made the cashier aware that the price of the basket was incorrect and she sent the packer to confirm and get the price for the bowl which took over 10 minutes to do. I asked the cashier if she can discount the item as the wrong price was listed and it was a waste of my time to stand there for so long, she called the "manager". When the manager (Rose Janse Van Vuuren) got there, she didnt introduce herself to me or ask me what the problem was, she spoke to the cashier (Annah Mo***eng) who told her I was complaining for a discount because the item scanned incorectly, the manager then looked at the screen and saw the price was changed from R299 to R199 and walked away. She didnt bother to speak to me about what can or cannot be done or explain why she is unable to assist me. She witnessed the cashier, packer and a few other people make jokes about a discount and laugh to my face and did nothing about it. For a hyper store to have such poor and *********** staff and management is a joke and I wont be shopping there anymore. At close to 13: 00 in the afternoon, items have incorrect / no prices for them and the customer has to be inconvenienced and laughed at for the incompetemce of the store is unacceptable. The last time I was charged a higher price at Pik n pay, the manager came to me and apologised, corrected the mistake and discounted the item, Checkers should learn from them. </p>
