Pathetic service

<p>On the 6th September 2016 myself and my fiance went to shop at Checkers in Mitchells plain as what we usually do. We had purchaded a few items and one of them being "Baby Soft" Toilet paper. The shelf was packed to capacity with a price tag of R 21.99 for 6 toilet paper rolls. I decided to purches 2 bags but when I got to the till the price scanned was R 56.00. I told the cashier that this is not the price I saw on the shelf. The cashier sent the packer for a price confirmation and low and behold the packer identified that this is indeed the price tag attached to the item and confirmed that there are no other barcodes on the shelf. The cashier than called a manager by the name of Jacob Brown. Mr Brown was made aware of what had transpired and blatantly refused to reduce the price. Firstly, he did not acknowledge the customer, being myself and my fiance and secondly, the manner is which he chose to address the situation was unprofessional. After rewieing the price tag, we were made aware that the incorrect price tag was placed on the shelf. I advised Mr Brown, that I am not happy about this as it is not my resposibilty to ensure that the goods are packed and shelved with the correct price tag. I made reference to the Consumers Protection Act and advised the manager this is worng and ********. The manager did not seem to be bothered and repeated that he will not discount the price and walked away from the till, while the customer ( Myslef and my fiance) was still standing and having the conversation with him at the till point. Jacob Brown acted very arrogant, when I asked for his particulars. We paid for the rest of our goods and proceeded to follow Mr Brown to the office, we advised him that he is refusing to take reponsibility and we are unhappy customers. Mr Jacob Brown repeatedly mentioned "Theres nothing I can do!" I am very upset and unhappy with what had transpired and refuse to accept that not a single individual is willing to responsibilty for the inconviniences caused by Checkers. I am not a comsumer that takes advantage or abuses the system, I am however a consumer that is well aware of her rights and will exercise them to the point where justice is served because I will under no circumstances allow people of authority to infridge on the rights of comsumers that are not aware of certain laws. I will exert all my options up until I walk away a happy customer.</p>
