Outrageous rip-offs Checkers.

I buy Nespresso compatible coffee capsules from Checkers. Muizenberg. I recently lodged a complaint with the manager, and boy did I get an idiotic reply. I want to share this, as the price of food is reaching a level where soon we will have to start eating dog food if we can afford it ! I recently bought capsules for R62 a box. 1 Week later I went back only to find that the price had increased to R94 a box. On questioning a very bored employee who said she was a manager, as to the huge price increase I got the normal excuse " its the supplier" "its head Office". so i never bought them. They were not on special at R62. No big pink sticker or anything. A week later I was in the same store. They were R62 again !! A price drop of R30. On Monday I went back and out of curiosity I went to check again. R72.95. So I call the manager because I'm thinking this coffee is linked to the oil price or something. The dollar or sterling rate does not fluctuate like this. The manager is more confused than I am. He doesn't know. He will phone me back. Someone else phones me back. He tells me they were on special at R62. (they were not, so he was lying to cover his butt)) Cant explain the R92. But tells me the actual price is R72. So now I ask myself, if this is one ripp off on 1 product, how many other people are being ********** by the same idiotic price fixing? Do the people in Checkers, or supermarkets in general think we are stupid or something ? R62 to R94, then R62, then R72 ???????
