Not so special SPECIALS

I am a Checkers shopper and have been for many years. This morning I was looking for HTH 2kg granular chlorine. I notice Checkers has a special , normally R 229. now R 189, a saving of R 40.00. The add states with X card and also the delivery icon. I was really surprised to be told at the till , the price is only valid on delivery which costs R 35.00. So in effect you are saving R 5.00. This to me is a case of not saving you a cent , but trying to convince the public of a special saving which is not special at all. It has certainly opened my eyes to Checkers specials , I will definitely be much more alert before shopping there again
