No stock of little garden for the second time around

I am very disappointed yet again. Being a regular customer with checkers. The main reason why we purchased over R2500 of goods was because of the little garden promotion. This is the second time at a different store where we purchased so much of items and then to be told there is no stock. I still see the adds in the checkers promotion catelogue as well as the ads on TV about the little garden promotion. I have a 4 yr old son who was so excited about receiving the little gardens. We even bought the little garden sets to use. Why promote something if there's never stock. My son was so disappointed and so was I as this is not the first time this has happened. Checkers promotes this and kids watch and get excited, then there's no stock which is rather sad especially for these little kids.
