No stock?

On Friday morning at 09:00am I received an sms from Checkers Liquor advertising a buy one get one free deal. At 13:30 I visited the store to purchase the above mentioned deal. I was told there was no stock. Apparently it was all sold out already and the next batch would be delivered in 30 minutes (at 14:00) I was told to leave my number and return at 14:00. I agreed. At 14:00, no phone call. 15:00, no phone call. 16:00, no phone call. Finally at 17:45 the manager called me to say the stock had arrived. At this stage I had already completed all my shopping for the day and just got home. If Checkers Liquors are going to advertise specials via sms surely they should make sure there is sufficient stock? This is the second time this has happened. Last month I had the same issue when the Jack Black craft beer was advertised via sms, again when i arrived there was no stock? It is most disconcerting that Checkers Liquor store do not plan and organize effectively when specials are advertised. Please correct this issue as a matter of urgency, or I will have no choice but to move my business to Tops at Spar, as they seldom have any issues with regards to stock. Thank you.
