No Service

<p>Just a heads up to anyone who is thinking of buying an appliance at Checkers. I'll save you some money and quite a few headches. I purchased an ice maker from Checkers and after about 2 years or so it stopped working. I took it to the branch where I purchased it from in order to get a quote to fix it. I had to call them and find out what was going on with the repair on many occassions. I didn't expect them to repair it for free as it was out of guarantee. They couldn't help me to get it repaired and eventually I called headoffice and was given a list of paople that I had to call to try repair it. No-one will touch the unit. After throwing my toys out the cot I spoke to someone senior, I think he is the buyer and also promised to help me. Once again I had to follow up with him as he didn't call back when promised. At the end of all the millions of phone calls and promises from Checkers, they turned around and said that there is NOTHING they can do to help me. I am tired of their bad service and shoddy products. I will never step foot into Checkers again. They cannot back up the items they sell, so be warned. </p>
