No prepared chicken available during lunch time

We arrived at the store at 13:20 to purchase grilled chicken for lunch. When we got to the deli there was no prepared chicken available & the raw chicken was only then being put into the oven. Why wait until there was no chicken left before preparing another batch. On asking the store manager what the problem was he advised that they were preparing the whole chickens before starting the chicken pieces as to his knowledge there was still available chicken pieces. (The store is not very big & not very busy, there is no way there was sufficient chicken pieces available for the lunch time rush when they started preparing the whole chickens - also, there was 1 whole chicken available to buy so where was the other whole chickens which were so recently prepared?). I think it is poor management & bad customer services to not have goods available for sale when they are in effect available at the store. Even if I wanted to choose the alternative of a piece of fish - there was no fish available either. The store manager did not try to provide an alternative and this suggests a total lack of care for customers needs. If the store manager cannot provide good customer service...
