No Help
Today 13 February 2015 at approximately 14h30 at Checkers Cascades my mothers wallet was nicely removed out of her hand bag after I had given her R800 to get a few items for herself as she is a pensioner. When I reported it to the Manager and to ask her if we may see camera footage she snubbed me and said there are no cameras in Checkers and that there is nothing she can do. Thereafter she went on with her days c****s without showing any concern or care toward my mom who was frantically looking through her bag. In this day and age what store such as Checkers Cascades Pmb dont have cameras and the bad attitude shown from that manager is a very poor and disgusting reflection on Checkers

On behalf of the Checkers supermarket chain, I would like to empathise with the unfortunate loss of your mother's purse.
Checkers endeavours to provide a safe shopping experience for all its customers as far as it is reasonably possible to do so, but we are unfortunately not in a position to take responsibility for personal belongings of members of the public. Checkers unfortunately does not allow members of the public into its camera rooms in line with security protocols but will gladly assist the SAPS in any investigation. However, the manner in which you were assisted in store will be brought to the attention of the Divisional Office for further investigation. One of our representatives will be in contact with you shortly.
Unfortunately we cannot reverse the unpleasant incident but I can assure you that we constantly review our security procedures in order to make amendments where necessary.
Kind regards
Devon Currie
