Neglected slip and fall

I had a slip and fall in February this year at Checkers, I went to the dr, had X-rays taken and pharmacy, all at my own cost, they are refusing to compensate me, they are “offering” me R1600, I was booked of at work for 2days. I had to navigate using my own petrol, called them using my own airtime because the shop just didn’t care to call me back the least. They are telling me that it’s not their fault that I fell, another customer spilled the icing on the floor, there were no wet sign floor. At work I’m on my legs 12 hours a day,the pain i have is out of this world. To think I used to like Checkers but the way they are treating their customers after such is disappointing
