Mould found in pastry

I am on a Business trip and i visited the checkers olivewood, i bought pastries from the bakery, and i bit into it to discover that it is moulded. i am very disapointed at the quality of product that i recieved from Checkers - I recently purchased a pastry from the Checkers bakery section (as seen in the photo attached). When I bit into it, I discovered an unusual and unpleasant object inside that did not look or taste like part of the pastry filling. This raised serious food safety and hygiene concerns.

Food products sold to the public should go through proper quality checks to ensure they are safe to eat and free from contamination. Finding something questionable inside a bakery item is unacceptable and raises concerns about cross-contamination, poor handling, or lack of inspection in the food preparation area.

I’m extremely disappointed because I trusted Checkers for its standards and freshness, but this experience has completely shaken my confidence in their bakery section. I urge Checkers to investigate this incident, review their food safety protocols, and take corrective action to prevent this from happening to other customers.

I’ve kept the item and packaging should further investigation be required.
