Moldy sandwich

I bought a pre made sandwich from Checkers Hyper in Bloemfontein and upon taking a bite discovered that it had mold on it.

I returned the sandwich right away. The two individuals that assisted me were quite rude from the get go and didn’t even acknowledge me being there for quite some time. Looked at me and just continued with their personal conversation.

One of them finally took the sandwich from me and disappeared. I asked to see the manager and upon speaking to him was told that the sandwiches were not made in store and so they weren’t checked and there really isn’t anything else that he can do for me.

I feel like a sorry is just not enough in this case. Is Checkers comfortable with selling moldy products? Where is quality control? My time was truly wasted in the shop that day and I will not buy there again.
