Missing Items from Our Purchase at Checkers Mall of the South

Dear Checkers,

Yesterday, just before 4 PM, my wife, kids, and I visited your Mall of the South branch. After purchasing a few items, we also bought chicken strips from the deli for our children. We paid, and it appeared that the packer assisting us had placed everything into our bag.

However, upon reaching our car, we realized the chicken strips were missing. We returned to the store, and they had to repack them for us. Unfortunately, we only noticed after arriving home that two other items—the pears and margarine—we had paid for were also not packed.

This experience has left us frustrated. Could you please clarify what’s going on and how such errors can be avoided in the future?
