*Mevrou kan maar die empty bag kry*

Visited my local Checkers earlier and bought quite a few items, at the till Nomsa asked if she may ring up some plastic bags. I started packing out my groceries and Liezel were bagging it.

When everything was scanned I noticed that one extra bag were left empty. I looked at my slip and saw that Nomsa rang up five bags, but Liezel stuffed my groceries into four bags.

She literally stuffed the loaves of bread and rolls into one bag, squashing it in the process.

I asked Nomsa to count how many bags she rang up and then to check how many Liezel used. Lo and behold .. She counted FIVE that were rung up and only FOUR were used. Liezel gave me an utterly dumb look and said 'Mevrou kan maar die empty bag kry'

EXCUSE ME?

What am I supposed to do with an EMPTY plastic bag? I PAID FOR IT TO HAVE MY GROCERIES PUT IN, NOT TO DRIVE AROUND WITH IT EMPTY.

Do you see any other people buy plastic bags just for the FUN OF IT?

Honestly, when is this Checkers going to PROPERLY TRAIN THEIR STAFF? I'm tired of being served by kids that walk in off the dusty streets of Wellington.
