Manhandled By Checkers Employee

On the 31st January 2018 around 12:30 my colleague and I went to buy food from Checkers. We went to the deli, we wanted to buy Greek salad when we noticed they did not have any containers for us to dish our salad in. We noticed a woman (Mmakgoshi Hilne) wearing the checkers uniform and we asked if she can provide us with the containers / bowls so we can dish our salad. Mmakgoshi rep**** by saying she doesn’t work there and she can’t help us. We asked if she could maybe ask her colleague to assist us and she proceeded to give us bad attitude insisting that she cannot help because she does not work at the deli. Her attitude was appalling, we then asked her why she is giving us such bad attitude as she continued to throw her hands stating that how many times does she have to tell us that she doesn’t work there? We asked her why she is wearing her uniform if she doesn’t work for checkers ,we told her that her attitude stinks, she then came close to me pushed and slapped me threatening to beat me up, feeling threatened I then pushed her back as she was coming to me strongly. One of the managers intervened by pulling her back from me. We then went to the manager’s office to report this, the store manager called Mmakgosis line manager who did not find this to be appalling. I could clearly see that the line manager was either scared of Mmakgosi or it must be normal to treat customers and manhandle them. The store manager who is a lady was disgusted and said she would escalate this to the regional manager. I work just next door to the mall and I go to the store quite often, I have never received such appalling service. Even while we were at the office speaking to her superiors, Mmakgosi still showed no remorse, she continued to be wretched and unruly. I actually feel like opening a case against this lady for harassment, I have never in my life as a consumer been given such horrific service and get manhandled by an employee. I am utterly disgusted, I am not letting this go, if it means publishing this on social media and any other platform I will do so. Perhaps this is a norm and your employees don’t get reprimanded for giving bad service to customers, it has now escalated to them manhandling us. I am so disappoint, I cannot begin to express how appalled I am. I reuse to be harassed while I go shopping, I will not let this go, I want feedback on what will be done. This is unacceptable and repulsive !!
