Lying to a customer 3 times

<p>I am very dissapointed with the service I received from Checkers Hyper in Pinetown. I saw a price on the shelf and it was under the incorrect product as we all know often happens. I then read the discription and it said Christmas Tree number 12 noble pine 180cm R199, the box it was under was a 1.1m and I needed a 1.8m for my little girl which asked daddy for a Big tree this year, I could not find the box as clearly this price was under the wrong product. I then looked around and found the number 12 boxes (empty I might add as all have been used as demos) about 1m away with a price under it for R349, but why must I pay R151 more if I saw a price 1m away clear as day for R199. I asked the sales representative to please get me a number 12 tree and she without hesitation looked at the demo trees marked 12 and went to get a ladder to take 1 down for me, only when i noted to her showing her the price of R199 she told me she will rather call her manager, they then called the manager Donovan, he said he was the store manager and I showed all this to him and he told me that 180cm is not the same as the length I want which is 1.8m, I had to explain how measurements work to him, then he proceeded to lie to me and told me there is 2 different number 12 marked Christmas trees which is noble pine and he will send someone to go check if they have stock, one on promotion one not, I told him I can guarantee him this guy will come back saying they don't have stock of thE 1 for R199. I then went a bit further asking him to please provide me with the 2 different barcodes proving they have 2 different number 12 trees with exactly the same description and he told me that their systems are down and he can't give that to me. He also got on his phone speaking to his manager telling him galf the story and then told me his manager said no they cant give it to me at that price, when i asked to spesk to his manager to tell him the full story Donocan told me his mznager does not deal with customers he is in charge of that. I am very dissapointed as I am a very loyal customer to this store and loved shopping their but if this is the way Checkers treats their customers by lying to them 3 times I do not feel as if I will ever shop at any Checkers again.</p>
