Lack of fresh produce

I'm writing to express my disappointment and frustration with my recent experience at Checkers. On 31/08/2024, I purchased nectarines from the store, which were explicitly labeled as fresh. However, upon consumption, the fruit had already become overripe and spoiled (brown in colour). This experience has left me questioning the store's quality control measures and commitment to providing fresh produce.

As a loyal customer, I have come to expect a certain level of quality from Checkers. Unfortunately, this incident falls short of those expectations. The fact that the nectarines went bad so quickly suggests that they may have been near the end of their shelf life when I purchased them, contradicting the store's claims of freshness.

I hope that Checkers takes this feedback seriously and takes immediate action to address the following concerns:

1. Improve quality control measures to ensure that produce is fresh and of high quality. 2. Provide more accurate labeling and signage to reflect the actual freshness and shelf life of produce. 3. Train staff to handle customer complaints and concerns in a more empathetic and effective manner.

Until then, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I hope that Checkers will take steps to regain my trust and loyalty.
