Kudos

I am a "converted" Checkers customer as I thoroughly enjoy their new store concept and their staff. Today I went to Checkers North Riding for a few things. On my list was 500g of Lean Beef Mince. I went to the counter and there was absolutely no mince whatsoever. I waited a good 5 minutes for any of the butchery staff to come out, but to no avail. I saw a gentlemen by the name of Stephen, who was in fact the regional manager, and spoke with him. He asked his Store manager to assist me and we went back to the butchery section. The staff miraculously came out of hiding and stated that they were awaiting their supplier.

My response was simple - "but you are Checkers?"

Stephen then asked me for my contact details in order to deliver a small packet of mince. I further received a call from another senior manager who got involved to facilitate my order and get it delivered.

This is NOT a complaint, but praise for resolving a situation that in the first place should have never happened. I take my hat off to senior people who made a right out of a wrong.

I will remain a Checkers customer until the end. My store choices are Northgate and Blueberry. When Olivedale Corner opens, then that will be our new go to store.
