insulted for NO reason

I was insulted by a Cashier name Zikhona, who smelled like alcohol and had blood red eyes looking drunk or hung-over. my girlfriend was about to pay and I asked her for the cost out of curiosity, she then turned and asked me why I wanted the price cause it was clear I didn't' have money, what was it to me. I asked if she thought it was for her to speak to me in that manner and to also respect the job and clients to at list clean herself up when dealing with customers. she then told me to go to the gym and lose some weight my stomach was too big and that my private probably didn't even work, I went straight to the manager in sight and immediately reported the incident. She laughed and claimed she'll look into it. through all my struggles with diabetes and shortfalls I have never felt so ridiculed and ashamed as I did that day. I regret ever walking into that store. Can someone please defend those of us with no voices
