We went to the Checkers at 14th Avenue on Sunday 29 Sept. They had a bin with Staysoft for 5 for R100. When we got to the till they cashier, packer and supervisor were talking about the stasoft, re-scanning, voiding. We didn't know what was going on. Finally they said some of the staysofts are not part of the special. I had to walk back to get different ones. How are the items in one bin marked as specials, not part of the special? Now we feel like complete idiots with no apology from anyone. My wife said we just need to check the slip. It turned out that they charged us for 1 extra. I brought it to the attention of a supervisor and they pointed me to the customer services counter. While on our way the original supervisor apologized and said the cashier was at fault for the extra item. YOU are the supervisor, YOUR details are used to void transactions, thus YOUR responsibility to make sure it is correctly recorded. It took us another 20minutes to get refunded. While there another lady also had issues with the specials, at least 3 mistakes.
