I am lodging a complaint regarding an incident at Checkers Weltevreden, Westgate Mall (Mitchell’s Plain) involving a faulty iron and the conduct of the store manager. I purchased an iron on 14 October 2025 and only used it about two and a half weeks later due to being hospitalized and recovering at home. On first use, it burnt my clothing, showing it may be defective or poor quality. On 4 November 2025, I returned to the store. Staff refused the return and called the manager, Mr. Zolani, who accused me of not adding water, then of incorrect steam settings, and later said I was negligent. This occurred in front of staff and customers, which I found unprofessional, disrespectful, and humiliating. I request an urgent investigation, a quality check on the iron, appropriate action regarding the manager’s conduct, and a refund
