Hold on credit card not released

I ordered some goodies on 5 October 2020 on the app. Checkers put a hold on my credit card for the estimated amount and then deducted the invoice amount when the goods were delivered. As of today, 16 October the hold on my credit card has still not been released. When I contacted them I was told I had to send bank statements and who knows what. That is absurd. Why must I now send them my bank statements for a hold they initiated and now I am given the runaround. I doubt if I will use this app again if I have to go through this every time to just get the hold on my card released
