HELP YOUR STAFF TO STAY COOL ON A HOT DAY!!!!

It is almost 30 degrees outside and I have just come back from Checkers Meadowdale. The airconditioners aren't working in the store and the ladies at the tills are dying of the heat instore.

I know that Checkers has rules about staff eating and drinking when they are on the floor or at the tills, but for goodness sake it is extremely hot and these poor ladies at the till are not allowed to have a bottle of water with them. This is ridiculous.

And this is not the only store where I have noted this practice. Checkers Mayville in Pretoria also don't allow their till operators to have water at the till when it is so hot.

I'm pretty sure that none of the staff who work in the office instore or at head office go without water at their desks when it is so hot, so why should the instore floor staff have to suffer???

As a customer, I don't have a problem with the till operators having a bottle of water at the till to help them cool down a bit.
