Guns allowed in checkers

I was shopping at Checkers Helderberg Centre yesterday (sunday 7 March 2016).<br> A man in plane clothes walked into the centre and into Checkers with a gun on his<br> hip in full view of everyone in fact he made sure everyone saw him.<br> Nobody stopped him, nobody questioned him.<br> How can one shop and feel safe in an evnironment like that?
