General bad service at Checkers Westville Mall

Good day I have a few complaints about Checkers Westville Mall store.

1. Stock on shelves: I have requested on numerous occasions that more options to long life milk are packed in the shelves. The store only ever packs full cream milk on the shelves unless you complain. They then put a free low fat or 2% cartons on the shelves. In return to the store the shelves are back to full cream milk only yet again.

2. For the last 3 or so weeks there has been no cat litter on the shelves. None what so ever. So just like the issue with the long life milk I have had to drive to pick n pay and rather buy items there. It would be so helpful if Checkers Westville could simply stock their shelves correctly. That way If people like myself use other shops in the centre they do not gave to drive to another grocery store to get essentials.

3. We did our monthly grocery shopping on 27 June. The store did not have little garden stock. We were told to come during the week to collect our 15 seedling pots. When I spoke to the manager his response was to contact Checkers warehouse. That it wasn't his problem. What about the other clients who shopped at this branch? Is it not his responsibility to see to it that we get what we were promised? To be honest with this attitude I can see clearly why this store is in such a poor state.

4. When I did my monthly groceries at the end of May, I bought the family special which contained 4kg of carrots. The carrots were mouldy within 3 days. I stored the carrots in my fridge too so clearly there was an issue before we bought them. During the same grocery spend I bought broccoli and cauliflower which I could not use the next day as they too were not fresh.

5. When we did grocery shopping on the 27th June we bought a Cornish pie and a beef lasagne in the foil packaging to heat for dinner. When we heated them we found that both were smelling and off. It is clear to me that fresh food items are not being stored properly in the Westville Mall Checkers.

I have witnessed others complain but it seems that the same issues crop up time and again.

Perhaps I should contact Gordon Ramsay as he stocks his daughter's items at Checkers. He ought to know, and should maybe remove his support.
