Furious at cherkers cashiers

My daughter was at cherkers hyper mall of Africa on a school trip, she wanted to buy few things and she had her bank card with her in order to swipe, so when she gets to the cashier, the cashier just assumed that she cannot afford to pay for the things she wanted and instead of letting her buy those things she returned some of the items before letting her swipe, what upset me is the cashier requested her to put in the pin so that she can check the balance! Since when do cashiers check the balance of the customer?? She didn't even give my daughter an opportunity to swipe and check if the card will decline and there was no way it was going to decline because there was enough money on the card, it looks like it is not safe for kids to buy with a card at cherkers because once the cashier check the balance and realize that there is a lot of money on the account what is going to happen? Someone can do a cashback and the kid might not notice this and then we lose money at the hands of a cashier. Cashier C0282

Why is it that we are being undermined? People look at you and decide you cant afford other things. My daughter was denied to buy water because the cashier thinks her card doesn't have enough money without even trying it on the first place!

My other concern is after the transaction went through and proved that there is enough money, why didn't they let her buy those things that they returned in the first place? ????????
