Fruit rotting.

I visited the new Checkers Menlyn ***6 & bought 4 x Pawpaws & other fruit @ 10.99 ea. <br> The 4 pawpaws were green yellow & I thought it'll last me quite some time since they need to fully ripen still. <br> I bought a box of Pawpaws from Food *****s Market too the same day after visiting Checkers which were all yellow & much cheaper & I bought the Checkers pawpaws already so I kept them.<br> The Checkers pawpaws turned rotten before turning all yellow. <br> The FLM pawpaws are still yellow, firm & fine. <br> I buy fruit in bulk for my parrots & since pawpaws are in season now & the parrots love the pips of the fruit so I feed them pawpaw daily & work my way through it. I peel extra for myself & my parents too to take to work since the 3 of us work together at our business. So the pawpaws are not just standing - rotting. I checked the stickers tonight & saw that the fruit's sell by date was ***6 - same day. I picked those fruit because they were still green & I thought they'll last me quite a while - like at least 7 days after purchase. That day was a hectic busy day at the store so there wasn't time to check every product's sell by & best before dates. This was a waste of money.
