Food Poisoning From Checkers Deli Full Chicken

So last week I bought a full roast BBQ chicken from Checkers Virginia Circle deli. Whilst consuming the chicken I noticed it had a bit of a off-ish odor on the inside. I should've stopped eating it there and then but I thought it was all in my head. The consumption happened at around 8:30pm (chicken was purchased as around 19:20pm).

From around 3am I was woken up with the urge to go to the loo (the type of urge you cannot ignore). From there on out I was either laying in my bed in a fetal position or sitting on the toilet seat.

This carried on for 3 days. I had taken some meds on the Monday evening and Tuesday morning and there was some relief...SOME. then came Wednesday. That was the absolute worst. I was weak and dehydrated and felt awful the whole time. I was bed ridden the entire day.

I had called the Checkers customer service line to report that I've gotten food poisoning from their deli chicken and I had requested information about how the chicken was handled and prepared that day.

Long story short I was offered a R100 voucher (which I rejected) and I was then I formed that head office has received the report from the store but they cannot share it with me.

I just want answers and I'm being ignored. I lost 3 days of work (I'm a self employed designer) and I was in pain.

I want to know why I got sick but they are keeping their finding very hush hush. This tells me that they might have discovered something that cause me to be sick.
