False prices

I went to Checkers in King Williams Town to buy few things I saw a lot of customers having nice white dinner plates in their trolleys and I asked where are the plates and I was shown them. There dinner plates, bowls, side plates all prices R16.99 .I took 6 and went to pay to my surprise at the counter they were R39.99.I was so embarrassed because I had to put them back. I called for the Manager and she only gave me 1 for that price. I feel for those clients who were also embarrassed by this.
