False advertising Checkers Butchery

On the 28 August 2021,I purchased half lamb selling at R99/per kg. I asked the butchery manager " Rachel" on the grading of the lamb.She told me that the lamb was A1 ,lean lamb. On arriving home I was shocked to find almost 2kgs of fat, and on further investigation,there was only 2 ribs and not a single chops. I contacted the store manager " Mr Close" who after receiving my complaint,sugested that I return the meat back to the store, which as caused an inconvenience to me driving back to Pinetown from Chatsworth. I returned the lamb on the 29th, I was refunded my money and was told to see the butchery manager to cut me another lamb. I was shown a lamb which I agreed on, the manager then mentioned to me that the half lamb cost more than the amount I paid for. She then began to remove portions from the half lamb. When I queried as to why she removing the portions, she to me that's there standard practice. They are advertising half lamb which is actually not half but portions. It then made sense why there were missing portions on my first purchase. My point is 1. false advertising, 2. It's up to the consumer to purchase what they can afford, 3. Pick n pay sells these as quarter packs,which should be the case with Checkers . I can just imagine how many consumers got mislead with this.
