False Advertising

I recently went to the Checkers in Meadowdale to purchas a bus ticket on 16/17th Feb 2018. While there i saw a board by the money market kiosk about a special on a mtn sim card. I saw this as a good deal and today 22 Feb i went back to the store to purchase the sim card. When i got there the board is still there and when i inquired about the special none of the cashiers knew how the special works and one even said the board is from last year December but there was no expiry date on the board. I will attach a pic of this. I find this frustrating marketing something that none of the cashiers know about and i ended up having to purchase a sim card from Pep stores. This makes me angry because i drove to the store specifically to buy this sim card, all the way from Edenglen and went past other stores where i could have bought the sim card. Please can have an explanation on this false marketing and imagine how many people might have seen that board and ended up being told by cashiers that they dont know anything about it.
