EXPIRED FOOD AT CHECKER THE GROVE MALL

Went to do groceries with my sons for their school lunch, I purchased a Sir Mango juice, with an expiry date of 19/09/2026, I bought it, yes stupid of me, it was on their shelf, I have been shopping at Checkers the Grove Mall for 6 years + never I would have thought they would sell expired stuff. We got home and I poured for me and my sons, i immediately tasted it that the juice was off, i rushed to take it away from sons, what ticked me off, i went back to the store with the expired juice which gave me diarrhea, thank goodness nothing happened to my sons, as food poisoning as such, at the store, i reported this to the controller on duty, which she called the manager which she was not interested to talk to me at first, i told the controller i am not looking to fight, this was a health risk, for me and my family, they didnt bother to check, the juice is R47.00 and i was not looking of refund either told her i am looking for an apology from the branch manager as this was a health scare, food poisoning is dangerous as my youngest has allergies that would have caused severe health risk. The branch manager just told me this is not her fault and she will call her supplier and investigate with no responsibility taken whatsoever.

I AM WARNING YOU DO NOT BUY FROM CHECKERS THE GROVE MALL, THEY SIMPLY PUT CUSTOMERS AT RISK BY THEIR NEGLIGENCE AND INCOMPONTET BRANCH MANAGER WHO DOES NOT EVEN TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY
