Expired food

<p>I went to checkers cresta about an hour ago to buy chicken livers and gizzards.assuming that checkers is a reputable store and regularly check their fridges didn't check the expiry date on the gizzards as I was going to use them today. When I got home I realized there is a funny smell coming from the gizzards as the ice had melted abit upon checking the packaging I found that rhe gizzards Best before date is 01-12-2016 but today is 26-03-2017 how can I reputable store like checkers still have rotten things 4 months later. If this was my first incident with rotten food from checkers I would just toss the packaging in the bin and let go but this is second incident first I bought wors and when I cooked it it was rotten even though the expiry date was next week. I am so disappointed </p>
