Ever heard of fish that taste like rubber

<p>A friend of mine from Herm**** in the Cape told me that Checkers always have fresh fish. They pack it at the coast and bring it overnight to the inland where we can buy it from any of their branches like as fresh as we buy it like they do there.</p> <p>We don't have a Checkers branch on our town and I went to Potchefstroom today. I thought of putting the fish of Checkers to the test. The lady at the fish apartment did'nt want to clean 'Yellow Tail' for when I asked her and she offered me two fillets of hake that was in a foil tray. I then agreed and took the fish. </p> <p>What a disaster. We cooked it in the steamer for 15 minutes. They totally curled up before we took them out of the steamer. They really tasted like rubber. Although we tried, it was just impossible to eat the fish. R105 down the waste bin.</p> <p>Checkers you should be ashamed to even think of offering anybody food like that and at a R95 per kg, I think it is very poor. </p> <p>I am so disgusted that the way I feel now, you will see me and a lot of my friends never again. Ever heard of the saying, 'Penny wise, pound foolish'' Think about it.</p>
