ettiquette lessons from the cashier
I raced into checkers to quickly buy some talk time on 84. At 20h00 I saw an empty till and asked the cashier if they sold telkom datat - the caher looked at me and said How are you - I was in a rush and said please don't school me on ettiquette I just need to know if you have data before I start the conversation . It really irritates me that staff feel that they should educate people on conduct when they are paid to assist the customers -do I need to have a long conversatin before I am assisted or is it possible to just have my question answered - in addition the cashier then said she has 8ta data - I countered say it is now called telkom mobile - one would think the vendors would train their staff to know this - she said she didn't know what telkom mobile was but wanted to know if it was for a landline - exasperated I just asked for telkom air tiime. Please train your staff to be respectful of peoples positions - some people don't have time for idle chit chat and would just like to know the answer to their questions.
