Embarrassed by Manager in front of peers

<p>Tonight I went to your store in Dorpstreet and had problems with my card/ your machine. Before I could even enter the pin, the machine would say declined and then chip malfunction. The cashier will confirm this fact as she tried multiple times where it would say insert card, then when you insert it says remove card or swipe card before a pin is even entered. We tried several times after which she herself was rude saying that it was a fault of my card not her machine (even though I had never blamed her machine in the first place). Thereafter, I asked her what must happen now and she said I could go and draw money at the ATM. I did so and the card worked perfectly the first time- you can check the ATM records. Thereafter the manager came to help proceed with the transaction. She first helped, then yelled for the entire store to here, " HET JY NIE GENOEG GELD GEHAD NIE????". People looked over from all sides. I decided to not make a scene as this would only aggravate my own embarrassment and calmly and quietly told her that it was a chip malfunction. I am a little fluish and maybe I did not look my best self, but this was no reason for her to assume that I am too poor to pay for my trolley. I feel extremely embarrassed or should I say affronted, as I didn't do anything wrong. One question and she would have ascertained that my trip to the ATM had been successfull. I have never felt more belittled and less of a person than today in your store and that coming from a manager. The woman clearly does not have the right leadership s****s for the position and I am disappointed beyond reason that a store that I have been going to every week for a year would appoint someone with her level of people s****s to a managers position. We work hard for our money every day and after a rough day at work we go to what used to be our favourite store and we are belittled like this. It's truly awful and I hope she gets punished before another hardworking individual like myself falls victim again.</p>
