Do something

I bought a glass katle from checkers at The Reef Shopping center (Germiston) in November last year. Today my son was making tea, the whole handle of the katle came off and water all over it broke. I took it to Checkers to find out if i have a warranty, also on what bases. The lady said the warranty ended the day i bought it so soo as i walked out on the 9th thats when it was over. I asked her to ask anyone in charge to see if they can help in any way she called a guy then went to someone else. The guy i spoke to said glass kitles are known for unsafety and no being strong, so i asked him to do something even if i dont the new katle or refund i dont care i have a spare katle at home but can they escalate this to the manufacturer or supplier or something because its not normal that a whole handle will come out as a results it broke, again my son could have been burned beyond it could have been worse, thank God he had just miner otherwise i was going to sue Checkers. He said maybe part of the reason they might not give me another one no assist at all is that my son is the one who was using it not me, like what? Indeed the lady came back and said who ever guy she spoke to said they cant help. I left my box and slip with them. I took a picture of a slip before going there. Somebody assit please
